Gyeongseong Creature, a brand-new Korean horror series on Netflix, will debut right before Christmas. The eerie World War II setting of the programmes is shown in a video that was published on Thursday. You can also get a peek of the monster that lies at the show’s centre.
The story of Gyeongseong Creature takes place in 1945, during the Japanese colonisation of Korea, in Gyeongseong, the former name for Seoul. It centres on two people as they look into the odd happenings around a hospital that appears to be dying and the sinister secret that it has hidden in its basement. The action and stylish visuals in the video are amazing, but what really sets the horrors of what they’ll discover in motion is when you get the first look of the basement.
The all-star cast of the show includes Kim Soo-hyun (Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald), Kim Hae-sook (Revenant), Jo Han-chul (Kingdom), and Park Seo-joon (Parasite) as its two leads. The author is Kang Eun-kyung, dubbed the “King of Baking.”
Gyeongseong Creature will be available on Netflix in two installments, with the first debuting on December 22 and the second on January 5.
