This year’s winner of the 89th Heisman Trophy, which is considered the highest honour in college football, will be honoured once more as the best player in the NCAA.
The official Heisman Trophy finalist list for 2023 has been revealed as college football season comes to a close and excitement for Bowl Season and the College Football Playoff grows.
Three players from Oregon, Michael Penix Jr. from Washington, Marvin Harrison Jr. from Ohio State, and Jayden Daniels from LSU have all been invited to the event.
The favourite among bookmakers to win college football’s most coveted award is LSU quarterback Daniels, who had a great second season that included tying Bo Nix for the most throwing touchdowns (40) and finishing third in passing yards (3,812).

The Heisman Ceremony will return to New York’s Appel Room at Lincoln Centre for the third year. Longtime presenter Chris Fowler of ESPN, who is emceeing for the 30th consecutive year, will host it.
During the one-hour live event, ESPN college football reporters Holly Rowe and Marty Smith will join Fowler on the broadcast.
