Once more, it’s that time of year. This week marks the start of Summer Game Fest, and over the two hours of the event, you hope to see new game trailers and other interesting news.
There may not be as many new game announcements as in previous years, as Summer Game Fest organizer Geoff Keighley said the event will be “largely focused on announced stuff.” Still, the event is sure to have a few surprises in store. Here’s when and how you can watch the show.
What time does Summer Game Fest start?
Summer Game Fest kicks off on Friday, June 7 at 5pm ET (2pm PT).
This won’t be the only game show: indie game show Day of the Devs will air immediately after Summer Game Fest, followed by Devolver Digital’s Game Showcase at 8pm ET (5pm PT).
Where is Summer Game Fest being held?
Twitch and YouTube will both be live streaming Summer Game Fest. The showcase from the video that is embedded at the top of this article is also available to watch. The same livestream connection will be used for both Devolver Digital Direct and the Day of the Devs presentation.
What can You expect?
Keighley has attempted to manage expectations during a Twitch Q&A, stating that “there definitely are things that are being announced” but that there aren’t many trailers for games that are “years and years out.” That implies there won’t be any trailers for titles like Grand Theft Auto VI, The Wolf Among Us 2, or Kingdom Hearts IV, according to Keighley.
