The world famous singer Rihanna is also well-known for her work as a businesswoman. You may be aware that Rihanna established the fashion brand Fenty, which is highly involved in the beauty and clothing industries. According to the most recent reports, Rihanna has resigned from her position as CEO of Savage x Fenty, the lingerie brand that she co-owns. After more than five years of service to the company, the well-known singer has announced his retirement.
Vogue Business recently reported that Rihanna has decided to resign as CEO of Savage x Fenty, but that she will continue as Executive Chairman of the brand. The brand, which will be 5 years old in May 2023, is co-founded by Rihanna and an investors group that includes a lot of big names like luxury goods giant LVMH and Jay Z’s Marcy Venture Partners.
The reports also say that Hillary Super, who was the CEO of Anthropologie, will be leading the group instead of Rihanna. If reports are to be believed, the well-known singer made the decision to resign as CEO of Savage x Fenty because the brand requires more attention right now. Rihanna, on the other hand, is expecting her second child with ASAP Rocky and intends to prioritize her role as a mother and concentrate more on her family life.
“It’s been beautiful to see our vision for Savage X Fenty impact the industry at such an incredible magnitude over the last five years. This is just the beginning for us, and we’re going to continue to expand in ways that always connect with the consumer. I’m so grateful and excited to welcome Hillary Super as our new CEO – she is a strong leader and is focused on taking the business to an even higher level,” Rihanna said in a statement.
